1979 – Automatic Pool Covers incorporated in Indiana
1979 – Company operates out of Mike Shebek Sr’s 400 sq ft garage in Indianapolis and he serves as company President
1979 – Install and distribute products manufactured by Poolsaver
1983 – Install and distribute products manufactured by Cover Pools
1986 – Recognized as a Top 3 Cover Pools dealer in the US
1995 – Mike & Mary Shebek acquire Automatic Pool Covers, Inc.
1995 – Install and distribute products manufactured by Pool Cover Specialists

2000 – Michael Shebek acquires Automatic Pool Covers, Inc. from Mike and Mary Shebek
2001 – Company grows to become the largest distributor in the US (PCS)
2001 – Operations grow by 8,000 sq ft into a 20,000 sq ft facility in Fishers, Indiana
2003 – Company discontinues relationship with Pool Cover Specialists.
2003 – Automatic Pool Covers, Inc. becomes an automatic pool cover manufacturer
2003 – The AUTOGUARD™ pool cover brand is created
2006 – THREE•SIXTY•FIVE™ is created to integrate automatic covers with vinyl lined pools
2009 – While ’08-09 recession decreases new US pool sales by 70%, company experiences only a 9% decline
2010 – Company surpasses pre-recession revenue

2012 – Company builds state-of-the-art 45,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Westfield, Indiana
2014 – APC separates its previous labor services into new company, Cover Care, LLC
2016 – Product sales extend into 6 countries around the globe
2017 – APC expands 45,000 sq ft with an addition to existing building – (90,000 sq ft)
2018 – Company experiences another record sales year
